Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment in the next 14 days:
- request an appointment online with PATCHS
- phone us Monday to Friday from 10am
- book an appointment using the GP online system — Patient Access
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse, or health professional to help you.
Urgent appointments
To request an urgent on the day appointment
- Phone us Monday to Friday 8am – 10am.
- We will aim to get you seen on the same day.
- Your request will be assessed and you may be booked in with someone other than your GP, depending on the reason for your appointment. There could be a health professional more suitable.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Your appointment
However, you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call.
Appointments by phone, or video call can be more flexible and can often be used to triage.
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, or by face-to-face
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs.
Services available to you
FCP (First Contact Physiotherapy)
If you are suffering with muscular or joint pain, we can refer you to an FCP for quick access to expert assessment, advice and treatment.
Paediatric Nurse Practitioner Clinic
Whitehall Street Clinic & Callaghan House
- Service operates an 8am-8pm, 7 days a week
- Referrals are for children aged up until 19 years of age
We can offer appointments with this service when GP appointments are full, and the patient requires a same day appointment. Only a limited number of appointments are available at various points over the day.
Extended Access Service
This is a service which offers a same day evening or weekend appointment with an out of hours GP. These are limited and location is dependent on availability. Reception staff can access these appointments when available.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- using the GP online system — Patient Access
- phone us
- using our online cancel an appointment form
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
